For the last few days I have been experiencing random freezes, explorer.exe crashing and just a terrible PC experience. The windows error logs gave this error as the culprit:
The device, DeviceIdeiaStor0, did not respond within the timeout period.
At first i thought it might have been the Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers, so i uninstalled them. Unfortunately that didn’t help.
Further research on the Internet produced interesting results, but none of the solutions worked for me. [Read more…]
I received a new Netgear ReadyNAS RNDU4000 today and I came across a very unfortunate problem: Upon boot i received the message “Corrupt root” in the Netgear Raidar utility.
After searching for this specific answer myself i also noticed that there was quite a lot of other users who were after the same information. The Intel 320 series SSDs utilizes inbuilt hardware encryption (AES 128) which renders information useless to a 3rd party should a laptop (or desktop) be stolen or suffer an attempted breakin.
